When contacting the data protection officer, please state that the enquiry concerns UGS GmbH and do not attach sensitive documents unless specifically requested.
3. Hosting and technical delivery
This website is delivered through Amazon Web Services using a private Amazon S3 origin and Amazon CloudFront. When the website is accessed, technical request data is processed to deliver the requested content securely and reliably. This may include the IP address, date and time of access, requested file, referrer, browser type, operating system and response status.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is the secure, stable and efficient operation of the website. The delivered infrastructure does not enable application analytics, CloudFront standard access logging or S3 server access logging. Service providers may nevertheless process technical data as required to operate and protect their infrastructure.
4. Recipients and international transfers
Technical data may be processed by Amazon Web Services and authorised service providers acting on behalf of UGS GmbH. CloudFront uses a global network of edge locations. Depending on the location used to serve a request, technical data may be processed outside the European Economic Area. Where a transfer requires additional safeguards, UGS GmbH relies on the contractual safeguards agreed with the service provider, including standard contractual clauses where applicable.
5. Contact by email
If you contact CarbonCore by email, the information you provide is processed to respond to your enquiry, assess a potential project discussion and, where relevant, prepare or perform pre-contractual measures. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry relates to a contract or potential contract, and otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR based on the legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.
CarbonCore project enquiries are directed to paul.mendel@carboncore.energy. Depending on the subject, the enquiry may be forwarded within UGS GmbH to the responsible technical, commercial or administrative employee.
6. Contact form
The contact form on this website does not send data to a website server. It creates a prepared email in the visitor's local email application. The data is transmitted only when the visitor sends that email. Visitors should not include confidential project information or special categories of personal data in the initial message.
7. Cookies, analytics and external content
The delivered website does not use analytics, advertising cookies, tracking pixels, social-media plug-ins or embedded third-party media. It does not intentionally store information in the visitor's browser for tracking or profiling. The delivered version therefore does not display a consent banner. This assessment must be repeated before optional services such as analytics, maps, video, external forms or social-media integrations are activated.
8. Retention
Business enquiries are stored only for as long as required to process the enquiry, comply with legal retention duties or protect legitimate legal interests. If no business relationship results, enquiry data is reviewed for deletion after the purpose has ended. Infrastructure-related retention follows the active AWS account configuration and the applicable security and incident-response requirements.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR, data subjects may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Where processing is based on consent, consent may be withdrawn at any time for the future.
Requests can be sent to info@ugsnet.de or to the data protection officer listed above.
10. Right to object
Where personal data is processed on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object to the processing for reasons arising from your particular situation. UGS GmbH will then stop the processing unless compelling legitimate grounds or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims justify its continuation.
